Call of Duty: Mobile Season 6 'Take Your Heart' Brings Persona 5 Royal Crossover

Call of Duty: Mobile is set to launch its Season 6 update, titled "Take Your Heart," on July 1 at 5PM PT, featuring a major collaboration with the acclaimed JRPG Persona 5 Royal. The season introduces a themed twist on the Plunder mode, a new multiplayer mode, fresh weapons, and a wealth of cosmetic rewards, all wrapped in the stylish aesthetic of the Phantom Thieves. This crossover marks one of the biggest collaborations of the year for the mobile shooter, blending high-school simulation and dungeon-crawling flair with fast-paced combat.

The centerpiece of the season is Plunder Treasure Hunt, a Persona 5 Royal-themed variant of Battle Royale's Plunder mode. In this twist, certain areas of the Isolated map become highlighted in red, marking them as special domains. Their arrival is announced to all players, signaling intense competition. Approaching a domain reveals a large red sphere—instantly recognizable to Persona 5 Royal fans—and entering it transforms the operator's HUD with themed visuals. Inside, squads must defeat three waves of NPC enemies representing different Shadows from the JRPG before unlocking a treasure chest filled with cash and Persona 5 Royal masks that grant bonuses for the rest of the match. The mode encourages both PvE and PvP confrontation, as enemy squads will inevitably crash the party.

Season 6 also introduces Throwable Frenzy, a new 5v5 multiplayer mode focused on the Combat Axe. Teams race to hit randomly spawned targets scattered across the arena, while eliminating opponents to slow their progress. There are no loadouts or scorestreaks; instead, players equip three types of buffs before the match, unlocked through tokens or simply by playing. The team with the highest score when the timer expires wins. Laser traps and special operator bonuses keep the action chaotic and unpredictable.

For players seeking new firepower, the FSS Hurricane SMG joins the arsenal, excelling in close-quarters skirmishes. A new VTOL Jet Scorestreak provides supreme area control by releasing an initial missile barrage before hovering over the designated site and attacking nearby enemies. Both are available through the free tier of the new Battle Pass, along with various cosmetics like calling cards, avatars, and weapon camos.

The Take Your Heart Battle Pass offers free and premium content, including four Epic operator skins such as High Priest of Chaos — Judgement and Kryptis — Refraction. Premium pass holders can also unlock sci-fi and Mil-Sim inspired weapon blueprints, including the CX9 — Custos Sanguinis and the FSS Hurricane — Shattered Reflection. A Battle Pass Subscription option grants monthly rewards, a 10% boost to player and weapon XP, discount coupons, and limited discounts on 10x crate pulls, plus access to the Nova — Lion's Might operator skin and FAL — A Shadow in Red weapon blueprint.

Ranked Play receives a new season with exclusive rewards. Competing in Multiplayer Ranked Play can earn the SO-14 — Onyx Wrath weapon blueprint, while Battle Royale Ranked Play offers the Enigma — Zavesa operator skin. Additionally, a Persona 5 Royal-themed event space features multiple shooting galleries based on different Palaces from the game's storyline. Players test their reflexes against floating targets to earn milestone rewards, including a Nuclear Strike customization option, plus themed weapons, a motorcycle skin, six weapon charms, and six calling cards. A summer-themed event also arrives, offering the Urban Tracker — Summer Sunrise operator skin and the M16 — Sparkling Citrus weapon blueprint, among other rewards.

The Mythic Draw also includes the Samael — Hollow Regent operator skin, the Tactical Melee — Spectral Spike blueprint, and the Holger 26 — Shadow and Shade weapon blueprint. Furthermore, the Operator Series Armory brings Persona 5 Royal characters to life with skins like Cipher — Joker, Scylla — Panther, Alias — Queen, and Urban Tracker — Violet. Each skin includes unique lobby entrances, a mask accessory, a watch displaying elimination count, a themed social quick menu, and a baton pass animation that triggers in Multiplayer when owning two or more Persona 5 Royal operators. Collection rewards feature the Legendary ORV — Morgana vehicle skin and a Mythic animated calling card.

The Weapon Series Armory offers four Legendary weapon blueprints: LK24 — Arsène, QQ9 — Carmen, Type 63 — Johanna, and RAM-7 — Cendrillon. Each features a unique elimination effect and animated features that intensify with more kills in a single match. Additional items include the Antelope A20 — Phantom Show, and collection rewards grant unique Persona 5 Royal-themed special effects for each of the four main blueprints.

A Season 6 Challenge Pass allows players to complete Standard, Special, and Elite missions to earn tokens exchangeable for seasonal items like the 3-Line Rifle — Variegated Corrosion weapon blueprint, the dynamic Mission Debrief weapon camo, and the Newtonian weapon charm.
