CODM Season 9: Vampires vs Werewolves Kicks Off Halloween

Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 delivers a community-voted Vampires vs Werewolves showdown with Fang Wars, new modes, and Halloween maps.

Call of Duty: Mobile has unleashed its first-ever community-voted season, and it’s a chilling showdown between Vampires and Werewolves. Season 9, which launched on October 14, brings a host of new content including the Leader’s Kill Confirmed mode, the Grav Assault Rifle, and a faction war event called Fang Wars. But what makes this season truly unique? It’s the players who chose the theme, the Operator Skins, and the Weapon Blueprints that fill the Battle Pass. This is a Halloween celebration built by the community, for the community.

New Multiplayer Mode: Leader’s Kill Confirmed

The headline addition to Season 9 is Leader’s Kill Confirmed, a fresh twist on the classic Kill Confirmed formula. In this mode, each team designates a single player as the Leader—a mech-equipped Operator who is visible to both teams. This creates constant pressure on the Leader’s position, forcing players to make split-second decisions: protect their own Leader, hunt the enemy Leader, or collect dog tags?

When a Leader is taken out, they drop a dog tag worth significantly more points, and the Leader role passes to another teammate. To help normal Operators stand a chance against these powerful mechs, special abilities become available over the course of the match. It’s a chaotic, high-stakes battle that rewards teamwork and quick thinking.

Returning Game Modes and Halloween Maps

Season 9 also sees the return of two popular collaboration playlists. Shoryu and Hadoken, based on Street Fighter 6, are back for a limited time. Meanwhile, Honkai: Gleaming Front, inspired by Honkai Impact 3rd, returns with new improvements and small tweaks. For fans of the latter, this is the perfect chance to dive back in.

Steel your nerves for the Attack of the Undead, featured on two Halloween-themed maps: Haunted Hacienda and Haunted Standoff. Both maps will also have individual 24/7 playlists running at different points during the season, so you can get your fill of spooky combat.

Fang Wars: Choose Your Faction

The centerpiece of Season 9 is the Fang Wars in-game event. Players must choose a faction—Vampires or Werewolves—and work with their team to complete missions and dominate the opposing faction. Progress earns rewards including faction-specific Weapon Blueprints: the SO-14 — Moonlit Marksman Rifle for the Vampires and the Type 25 — Lone Wolf Assault Rifle for the Werewolves.

All other milestone rewards are earnable by both factions, such as the Purifier — Deadly Nightshade Operator Skill Skin, the Type 19 — Petal Pattern Assault Rifle Blueprint, and the Swagger Strongbox. Regardless of the outcome, both sides earn a Calling Card—Vampire Victory or Werewolves Victory—but the winning faction gets a prestigious Gold version to display their dominance. Will the Vampires reign supreme, or will the Werewolves howl in triumph?

Call of the Dead Event and K-9 Unit — Fantasma

Celebrate Día de Muertos with the Call of the Dead event. Players collect Howlbones to spend in the Event Store on themed items like the Contact Grenade — Calaverita, Cluster Grenade — Pan de Muerto, a Weapon Charm, an Emote, the Calling Card — Día de Muertos, and an assortment of Avatars, Sprays, Stickers, and a Frame. Those who collect 100 Howlbones automatically unlock the incredible K-9 Unit — Fantasma Operator Skill Skin, which releases a pack of skeletal dogs against your foes. It’s a fittingly macabre reward for the Halloween season and beyond.

Battle Pass: Community-Voted Rewards and the Grav AR

The Vampires vs Werewolves Battle Pass features free and premium content, including new Operator Skins, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, and Call of Duty Points. For the first time, the Premium Battle Pass Tiers include Operator Skin and Weapon Blueprint designs that were voted on by players. The winners are the Minotaur — Pack Commander werewolf design and the Sparrowhawk — Moonlight Vengeance vampire design, plus the CX9 — Wolven Moonrise SMG and 3-Line Rifle — Cantus Rubra Sniper Rifle Blueprints.

Other Premium Tier rewards include Artery — The Hunter, Calisto — The Witch, the MG82 — Bloodsucker’s Ban LMG Blueprint, and the Grav — Solstice Herald based on the new Season 9 weapon. The free tiers offer the Grav Assault Rifle itself, a high-velocity weapon that shreds distant targets, along with cosmetic items like weapon charms, calling cards, stickers, and new camos.
